This is a guide to using the OLED Stick adapter with a Freetronics LeoStick, allowing an easy connection to the OLED128 full colour OLED Display.
What's in the Box

- 15cm 10 pin IDC cable
Mounting to LeoStick
If you haven't already soldered pin headers do your LeoStick, you'll need to do so first. The OLED Stick presses down onto the LeoStick as shown:
It's not designed for the pins to go all the way into the LeoStick headers.
Connecting to OLED128 Display
The OLED Stick connects to the OLED128 as shown:
Pay special attention to the cable orientation. The red mark on the cable denotes pin 1, and it's important that the alignment is as shown. Pin 1 is marked on the OLED128 with a small numeric label, and on the OLED Stick pin 1 of the connector has a square solder pad which is surrounded by a yellow circle. The other pins have round pads.
Software Setup
That's it for hardware setup - head over to the OLED128 Getting Started Guide and continue from there to install the FTOLED library and get started using your display!
All of the FTOLED example sketches are configured to use the same pins as the OLED Stick, so they don't need any customisation in order to work.
Using the Prototyping Area
The OLED Stick also provides you with a prototyping area on top of the LeoStick, with all of the pins labelled and broken out for easy soldering. Because the LeoStick is so small, the labels can be hard to read. Here's a large scale reference:
