I don't know anything about this project other than what you can see in the YouTube description, but it looks like quite an effort. 7500 LEDs controlled using a custom 50-channel output board, synchronised to music using an Arduino. It's not clear whether it's done with an Arduino Mega (which is what the description says) or one of our EtherMega boards (which it would be if all the parts came from Jaycar, as the description also says).
Either way, it's an impressive bit of work! Enjoy:
spoke to my neighbour , to clarifiy about the board it is a auridino mega connected to a pcb board that steps up the voltage using 50 transistors to 12 volts to run the relays to control each channel of lights, he wrote the software himself using c#. I can Email you a picture of the board and a screenshot of the software,Cheers Bronte

I assume there’s a multiplexer or addressable output latch involved, and then MOSFETs or similar to switch the loads. If your neighbour is happy to share details that’d be great. Feel free to post about it in our forum if you like.
posted 2012 Jan 15 by Jonathan OxerHi,it’s defiantly not the etherMega board. I soldered for weeks on end to make this board which connects to the aurdino mega,my neighbor is a genius – he wrote the program to suit this setup : he designed the board from start to finish , however with his blessing I can tell you how it’s done
